Susan sent in a quote request on a Friday morning at the end of June. Her truck was a black 2023 Silverado, under 50,000 miles, and she wanted the complete detail, inside and out. We talked that same morning, and she dropped it off at the garage first thing Sunday. By a little after 7:30 the truck was pulled in and I was taking the before photos.
A Newer Truck Still Collects the Beach
People are sometimes surprised when a truck that is only a couple of years old comes in needing a real detail. Mileage has nothing to do with it. This Silverado gets parked outside, and in Panama City that means sun, pollen, afternoon storms and whatever the wind carries in off the Gulf. Black paint shows every bit of it.
The inside told the same story. Rubber floor liners are the smartest thing you can put in a truck around here, because they catch the sand before it gets into the carpet. The catch is that they fill up. The driver liner had a gritty grey film ground into every groove, and the sill plate next to it was coated in the same dust. It is the kind of thing you stop seeing when you climb in every day.

The Work
The liners came out first and got scrubbed on their own, groove by groove, until they were back to a clean even black instead of streaky grey. While they dried the carpet underneath got a full vacuum, and the sill plates, console and dash all got wiped down. When the liners went back in, the driver footwell looked like it did on the lot. You can see it above, same spot, before and after.
Outside, the hood was the part that needed the most attention. Under the shop lights you could see a layer of dust and dried water spots across the whole thing. That is what happens when a black truck sits out in the rain and then bakes in the sun the next morning. It got a careful hand wash, top down, and the black wheels and wheel wells got cleaned so the bottom of the truck matched the top. If you want to see what each package covers, our detailing page lays it all out.

The Result
By a little after 2 that afternoon the Silverado was sitting under the hex lights, deep black from the hood to the running boards, with a clean cab and liners that looked brand new. The hood photo is my favorite from this one. Same angle, same lights, and instead of a dusty haze you get clean, sharp reflections all the way across.
We are at the end of September now, the start of fall in Panama City, and it is a good time to get a truck cleaned up. Love bugs are out on the highways again, hurricane season still has a couple of months left, and the sand from summer is still sitting in a lot of floor liners. If yours looks like the before photo above, take a look at our truck and SUV detailing and give me a call. Every job here is done by me personally, in a climate controlled garage, one vehicle at a time.
