Joyce found us through one of our detailing ads on Facebook and filled out the quote quiz on a Sunday afternoon at the end of June. Her answers were short and simple. Complete detail, a sedan, 2021 or newer, under 50,000 miles, no pets, no kids, and parked outside. The car was a black 2022 Honda Accord Sport, which is one of the nicest looking sedans on the road when it is clean.
I called her, we talked through the detail, and she dropped it off on Thursday, July 2 at 2 in the afternoon. Right before the holiday weekend, which is always a good time to get your car feeling fresh again.
Why a Newer Car Still Needs a Full Detail
A lot of people figure a car that is only a few years old with low miles does not need much. The paint might still look decent from ten feet away, but the inside tells the real story. Every trip in and out drags in sand, dirt and little bits of whatever was on the parking lot. On a black interior you see all of it, especially on the driver side carpet right where your heel sits.
Parking outside in Panama City adds its own layer. Black paint picks up dust, pollen and water spots fast, and the sun makes everything harder to wash off the longer it sits. A full detail resets all of that at once instead of chasing it one weekend at a time.

The Work
I took the before photos a little after 2:15. The driver floor had dust and grit worked into the carpet along the sill and around the pedals, plus a few leaves and crumbs. The trunk liner had a gray film over the whole thing with dirt packed into the grooves and a scrap of paper stuck in the corner. The door panels, steering wheel and console all had that dull, fingerprinted look that builds up on a daily driver.
Inside, everything got vacuumed and cleaned top to bottom: carpet, seats, door panels, steering wheel, console and the trunk. Outside, the Accord got a careful hand wash in the garage and the wheels and tires got cleaned up so the two tone Sport wheels actually pop again. If you want to see exactly what each package covers, the car detailing page lays it all out.

The Result
By about 7:30 that evening it was done. The trunk photo is my favorite from this one. The liner went from gray and gritty to a clean, deep black, and you can see the hex lights reflecting off the back glass in the after shot. The driver carpet came back even and dark with no sand left along the sill. Out front, the black paint was throwing back the whole ceiling, which is exactly what a black car should do.
Now that it is October and fall is finally here in Panama City, this is a great time to get your car cleaned up. The heat is backing off, the fall love bug flight is about to hit the front bumpers, and a clean car is a lot easier to keep that way through the rest of the season. If your daily driver has started to feel a little tired, a full detail in Panama City will bring it back. Give me a call and I will get you on the calendar.
