Marvell saw one of our detailing ads on Facebook and filled out the quote quiz on a Thursday afternoon at the start of July. His answers told me a lot right away. Complete detail, a sedan, under 50,000 miles, no pets, no kids, and it lives in a garage. Under timeline he picked as soon as possible. I called him, and by the next afternoon his Corolla was sitting in my shop.
Why Detail a Car That Already Looks Good?
Not every car that comes in here is a rescue job. Some of my favorite details are on cars like this one, where the owner already takes care of it and just wants it back to that fresh, new car feeling. A garage kept Corolla with low miles does not have years of baked on grime, but it still collects the stuff every car in Panama City collects. Road film on the lower panels, brake dust on the wheels, dust in the vents and seams, and a little sand that always finds its way onto the floor.
The nice part about a car like this is that a full detail goes a long way. When the paint and the interior are already in good shape, a deep clean puts it right back to how it looked on the lot, and it stays that way longer.
The Work
Marvell dropped the car off on Friday, July 3, the day before the holiday. I snapped a few arrival photos around 2:30 and got started. This was a full interior and exterior detail, so the inside got cleaned top to bottom, and the outside got a careful hand wash in the garage along with the wheels and tires. The tires got dressed so the sidewalls look dark and even instead of that faded brown you see on a lot of cars around town.

The Result
By about 5:30 that evening the Corolla was done. Under the hex lights you can see the shop ceiling reflected right across the hood, and the front corner photo shows how clean the headlight, fender and wheel came out. It is a simple everyday car, but it looked sharp, and Marvell had it back in time for the Fourth of July weekend. From quiz to finished car took about a day.
