It is a chemical that dissolves the metal particles stuck in your paint. It goes on, turns purple as it reacts with the iron, and rinses away, and then a clay bar pulls out whatever is left. It is included in every ceramic coating and every paint correction we do, and it can be added to any detail.
More often than people think. If the clear coat is intact, a deep clean and a polish can take a car back a long way. The 1996 RAV4 on this page is a good example. If the paint is past saving, we will tell you that at the inspection instead of taking your money.
