Front Beach Road, Laguna Beach, Sunnyside, Breakfast Point: anywhere on the beach side of the Hathaway Bridge, a car lives in salt spray. It dries on the paint and the glass as a film, works its way into the wheels and trim, and then the sun bakes it on. Sand is the other half. It rides in on feet, towels and beach chairs and grinds down into the carpet where a quick vacuum never reaches it.
That is why beach cars get more out of a coating than almost anything else we do. Salt film rinses off coated paint instead of bonding to it, and a full interior gets the sand out from under the seats, where it hides.

About 29 minutes and 16.5 miles, over the Hathaway Bridge and across town to the garage on McCall Ln. Most people from the beach drop off on their way into town in the morning and pick up on the way home.
Yes. Sand is one of the most common things we deal with. It takes a double vacuum and some patience to lift it out of the carpet fibers and from under the seats, and that is part of every full interior. If the carpets are also stained, a carpet shampoo and extraction can be added on.
That is the car it is made for. A car parked outside near the water gets salt, sun and sand every single day. Salt film does not bond to coated paint, so it rinses clean, and the coating takes the UV instead of your clear coat.
